Industrial Electrician

Environment
Depending on site, it will include working on the exterior and interior of buildings. The Industrial Electrician must be able to work in all conditions.
Day to day
Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including lighting, climate control, security, and communications.
Work with blueprints when installing electrical systems in manufacturing facilities, wastewater treatment plants and other structures.
Able to indicate on blueprints the location of circuits, outlets, load centers, panel boards, and other equipment.
Install new electrical equipment.
Maintain and repair electrical systems as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience.
Able to replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
May work with engineers or engineering technicians.
Perform the installation of various electrical systems per NEC state/local regulations and complete construction documents while maintaining the highest levels of OSHA compliance.
Review specifications, blueprints, and job scope for technical accuracy.
Perform electrical testing and monitoring of systems and make recommendations for improvement/repair.
Required Skills
Technical ability: read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams, then install or service various electrical systems.
Physical fitness and dexterity – able to climb ladders, work in small and confined spaces, or carry equipment and materials to and around the project site.
Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
Detail oriented – keen eye for safety standards and project designs.
Independence – can work on assigned tasks by yourself with very little help.
Reliability and Responsibility – accountable and trusted to show up on time and produce consistent, quality work.
Positivity – offers support and encouragement to teammates and shows pride in self and company.
Diligence – hardworking, with a strong work ethic and exceeds expectations.
Flexibility – can adapt and change as needed.
Valid Driver's License.
Successful completion of a background and drug screening.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems on any converting plant equipment, including any electromechanical production equipment.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components.
