Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st Shift Starting wage $30-$33/hour based on experience.

Shift hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

MUST HAVE industrial maintenance experience (preferably in food industry).

$4,000 Welcome Retention Bonus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging/processing equipment.

Assist in major overhauls of plant equipment and perform minor repairs to all plant equipment.

Learn equipment setup & reach full competency within 90 days.

Replace belts, motors, bearings, pumps, gaskets, seals, etc.

Perform HVAC and refrigeration checks.

Read and interpret PID drawings and schematics.

Work on conveyors, coders, labelers, and control circuits.

Identify and install piping.

Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machines, measure, cut, thread, and install new pipe.

Repair and replace electric motors (single or 3‑phase).

Maintain good working knowledge of electrical motors, starters, controls, switches, receptacles, lights, and light fixtures.

Repair and replace variable‑drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps.

Wire and troubleshoot a start/stop circuit.

Weld (TIG, MIG, and ARC on carbon & stainless steel), fabricate, and perform light machining as needed.

Maintain food safety, HACCP, 5S, and OSHA compliance standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities

Apply the food safety and quality principles as described in the Marzetti Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual and internal Marzetti Frozen Pasta policies, training, and procedures in all applicable aspects of departmental and job functions.

Qualifications

3–5 years industrial maintenance experience (food industry preferred).

High school diploma or GED (technical degree a plus).

Hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Working Conditions/Environment Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, lift, reach, grasp, and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8‑hour shift (sometimes longer) with occasional breaks. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. May need to work in small, confined spaces at times that are not permit required. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs and hairnets are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
