Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.
Perform welding on all required thicknesses and materials such as 1/16"+ AR, A36, stainless steel, and manganese using the proper filler metal.
Fitting and assembling independently, including training others.
Expertise in open table fitting/welding.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow direction from a lead or leader on daily tasks.
Determine the proper tools and machinery required to meet the production schedule.
Conduct final inspection of all parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Complete required monthly safety training.
Perform required preventative maintenance on department machinery.
Provide support and backup as needed for all other assigned projects and tasks.
Support BCT's culture and core values.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
Ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
Attention to detail and thoroughness with all tasks.
Ability to make decisions and follow through.
Ability to perform multiple welding disciplines such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Welding certification preferred but not required.
Proficiency in troubleshooting skills, tape measure reading, and blueprint reading.
