Central Processing Tech I – Full Time Day Shift (No Weekends)
Location: Gaylord, MI – Ambulatory Surgery Center within Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan’s largest healthcare system.

Job Description About the Role You will handle daily responsibilities such as decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment. The position also involves processing and packaging medical supplies, overseeing instrument inventories, preparing case carts for procedures, and ensuring sterilizers operate correctly. This behind‑the‑scenes role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, strict adherence to safety protocols, and strong collaboration skills.
A Day in the Life
Collect and handle used instruments, treating them with chemicals for sterilization.
Package, store, and distribute instruments while documenting as required.
Maintain records and update inventory to ensure all sterilized items are accounted for.
Coordinate and communicate with surgical teams to meet the demand for sterilized equipment.
