About the Role In this position, you will handle various responsibilities daily, such as decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment to avert infection and guarantee patient safety. This role encompasses processing and packaging medical supplies, overseeing instrument inventories, preparing case carts for surgical procedures, and ensuring that sterilizers operate correctly. This behind-the-scenes position demands careful attention to detail, technical expertise, strict compliance with safety protocols, and strong collaboration skills.
A Day in the Life
Collect & handle used instruments, to treat with different chemicals to sterilize them for future use
Package, store and distribute instruments whilst providing strong documentation where needed and assigned
Maintain records and update inventory to ensure all sterilized items are accounted for
Coordinate and communicate with surgical teams to meet the demand for sterilized equipment

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
