CNC Machinist | Hart, MI
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.
Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
Perform in-process inspection of parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms, tool wear, and minor operational issues.
Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and tool changes as required.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine setup procedures.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
Ability to perform in-process quality checks and troubleshoot machining issues.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM)
Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives
