We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking CNC Machinists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine setup procedures. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Load and unload materials and parts, ensuring proper workholding and tooling selection. Monitor machine operations, detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting controls. Make minor program adjustments (offsets, tool changes) to optimize machining processes. Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code. Demonstrated experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and various materials. Commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols. Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for programming and design. Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM operation). Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
