Job Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures.
Ability to understand and work from blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of uniform plumbing codes.
Frequently reports to a Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
Special Certification/Licensure:
NM Journeyman Plumbing License or NM Journeyman Gas Fitter License. A valid NM Driver's License is required.
Provide proof of all obtained certifications and relevant education/work experience in application.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Environment:
Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements: extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bihazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, and other potentially dangerous materials/situations requiring safety precautions/protective equipment.
Physical Effort:
Considerable physical activity; more than 70% of the job is physical work.
Lifting Requirements:
Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
Risk:
Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include use of protective equipment.
