WyoTech is seeking welders and metal fabricators who wish to become technical instructors at our premier technical trade school in Laramie, WY.

$62,500 - $90,000 annually, DOE.
Duties and Responsibilities
Become proficient in learning/utilizing the grading software.
Work with students not only in the classroom but also in the hands‑on shop.
Be responsible for lecturing on hands‑on related materials.
Coordinate classroom instruction with shop activities.
Associated Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Must always exercise discernment in safe equipment operations.
Advanced ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
Must be able to organize and demonstrate initiative.
Basic math skills including fractions for accurate measuring and cutting.
Aptitude to learn operating welding shop equipment, including complex computerized equipment like the plasma table and a bug‑o pipe cutter.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Good hand‑eye coordination and steady hands.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods.
Sharp eyesight necessary for precision in measuring and cutting tasks.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures, including PPE use.
Ability to recognize hazards and take preventive measures.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years’ work experience in the welding and fabricating industry.
Course and curriculum development, project development, and project management experience.
Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
Experience in custom fabrication, reading blueprints, cutting techniques, and CNC usage.
Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
Proficient in educational software and efficient use of computers.
Industry certifications such as AWS, API, CIC are a plus.
