EVT MECHANIC – Transdev North America – Florence County, SC
Transdev North America seeks an experienced EVT Certified Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and asset longevity.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify engine issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
Qualifications
1‑2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
Mechanic’s tool set.
Physical Requirements
Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
Benefits
Competitive compensation: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour.
Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks.
Sick days: 5 days.
Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating.
