Light Duty Technician – Transdev North America – Davie, FL Join our team as a Light Duty Technician. We are looking for a skilled individual to diagnose, repair, and maintain gas and diesel engines across our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay rate: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour based on experience

$2,000 Sign‑On Bonus paid after 1 year of employment

Vacation: minimum 4 weeks

Sick days: 5 days

Holidays: 13 days plus 2 floating days

ASE and EVT certification compensation

Key Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.

Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.

Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.

Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.

Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience as a Light Duty Technician.

ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.

Mechanic’s tool set.

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

Push and pull objects up to 20 pounds; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to equipment stored at ground level.

Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
