Position:
Experienced Machinist in Lathe and Mill
We are seeking an experienced machinist with expertise in both lathe and mill operations for a top client of ours. Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate lathe and mill machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances are met
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop efficient and effective machining processes
Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure they meet specifications
Keep accurate records of production and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist, with expertise in both lathe and mill operations
Strong knowledge of machine tools, cutting tools, and measuring instruments
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience with CNC programming and operating is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is preferred
