Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift

3:00 pm – 1:00 am, Tuesday – Friday
Overtime Hours:

Pay Rate:
$25.35 per hour + $2.50 per hour Shift Premium = $27.85 per hour
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery to manufacture products in a timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The operator will review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean‑up and housekeeping procedures, and comply with all quality, safety, and work rules including wearing all appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
Continuously learn the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and in similar jobs.
Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
Cross‑train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
Detail‑oriented and organized.
Ability to work in a team environment in a professional manner.
Effective communication skills.
Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.
