About The Role As a Palletizing Operator, you will operate and maintain palletizing systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of robotic and conveyor equipment, while ensuring product flow, safety, quality, and cleanliness. You will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations on the production floor by supporting equipment reliability, coordinating with team members, and maintaining high standards for workplace organization.

Major Duties And Responsibilities Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Operate and maintain robotic palletizing equipment
Manage product flow to ensure steady line operation
Perform routine maintenance and basic equipment troubleshooting
Create pallet patterns and verify proper pallet configurations
Operate a forklift to transport finished pallets
Quality, Safety & Cleanliness
Ensure quality standards are met throughout operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
Handle chemicals and equipment safely according to procedures
Support adherence to cleanliness, GMPs, and safety protocols
Team & Process Support
Communicate effectively with team members to maintain workflow
Assist with labeling systems, manual and computer-based inputs
Support continuous improvement activities and plant initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations
Special Requirements
Strong manual dexterity and mental acuity
Good physical condition; able to perform tasks with moderate physical effort
Valid forklift driver’s license (or ability to obtain through certification with McCain)
Ownership of required tools (as specified by Supervision)
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Willingness to participate in continuing education programs
Attention to safety and care in handling equipment
Scope of Authority
All employees have the right to question or refuse a work‑related directive that is unsafe
All employees are expected to take appropriate actions to ensure the safety of people, products, and equipment
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)
Strong understanding of robotic system operation and troubleshooting
Experience with conveyor and labeling systems
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and equipment care
Effective leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
Proficiency with manual and computer‑based machine inputs
Knowledge of safe chemical and equipment handling
Understanding of safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
Ability to work in cold and loud environments
Safe operation of necessary equipment and tools
