Job Overview
Tech Electric Company is hiring skilled Journeyman Electricians to lead and execute electrical work on a variety of commercial and retail construction projects. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys both hands‑on work and guiding a team. You'll be responsible for high‑quality rough and finish installations, while also mentoring apprentices and possibly running a small crew. Key Responsibilities
Perform rough‑in and finish electrical work in commercial and retail environments Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics Install conduit, wiring, lighting systems, and switchgear Work safely on lifts, ladders, and at heights Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently Collaborate with project leads and coordinate small crews (2‑5 electricians, if applicable) Mentor and train apprentice electricians in field practices and safety standards Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial and industrial electrical experience Proficient in both rough and finished electrical installation Experience working at heights using lifts and ladders Ability to lead and manage a small team (preferred for more experienced hires) Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Positive attitude and strong communication skills Must have a high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation required Residential‑only experience is not applicable Weekly pay cycle Performance bonuses Medical & dental insurance Life & disability insurance options Retirement savings program Paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays) Company truck & fuel (for qualifying experienced hires) Workwear & safety equipment provided Company events and team outings
Schedule
