Summary
The Electric Motor Mechanic / Winder is responsible for diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and testing a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, including AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes. This role ensures repairs are completed accurately and safely, following OEM, EASA, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and test electrical and mechanical equipment, including AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes
Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, high‑pot testers, growlers, micrometers, and calipers to ensure accurate measurements and troubleshooting
Conduct failure analysis, document findings, and follow proper procedures for part identification and reassembly
Perform in‑house and on‑site repairs while adhering to OEM, EASA, and customer specifications
Maintain accurate records of testing, troubleshooting, and final quality checks
Follow all mechanical and electrical safety practices
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 to 3 years of experience in industrial electric motor repair or relevant training (EASA or military experience acceptable)
Proven experience as an Electric Motor Mechanic and Winder
Strong skills in diagnostics, repair, and mechanical/electrical safety practices
Experience with industrial electric motors (automotive motor experience not acceptable)
Nice to Have
ISO 9001 experience
