About the Role Do you like working with your hands but can’t decide if you want a career in electronics or mechanics? We are looking to hire an Electro‑Mechanical Technician to work on both large diesel engines and delicate electronic enclosures.
Qualifications
An interest in both electrical and mechanical systems (60/40 split in favor of electrical)
Solid understanding of electricity (volts, amps, fuses, wire, AC vs DC, voltmeters, etc.)
Solid understanding of mechanical systems (engines, etc.)
Ability to work on large engines and small electronic enclosures.
Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with others.
Professionalism – arriving on time and suitable attire.
Curiosity about technology and a desire to learn.
One to three years of professional experience.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similar, or professional certificate, or directly applicable experience.
Ideal Candidate Capabilities And Skills
Experience with electrical harness build/debug/repair, especially automotive, racing, military, or aerospace harnesses.
Experience with electrical crimping tools and components.
Exposure to welding and electronics soldering.
Experience in metal fabrication and machine shop environments.
Reading schematics, circuit analysis, and debugging techniques.
Experience with troubleshooting tools (oscilloscope, function generator, DMM).
Benefits
Base rate: $18/hr – $29/hr
Annual profit sharing estimate: $1,872 – $9,048
Salary depends on experience, knowledge, and interview performance.
