Commercial Refrigeration Technician

DöhlerGroup Summary/Objective As a Utilities Technician, you play a vital role in keeping the facility powered, protected, and performing at its best by maintaining all key utility systems and support operations. Your Responsibilities Perform repair and preventive maintenance work on utility services equipment including but not limited to chillers, overhead doors, air handlers, boiler equipment and steam devices. Recommend and participate in continuous improvements for the plant utility systems. Ensure timely communication of information within the department and affected personnel. Maintain repair records with the company's data management systems (SAP, Microsoft Office Products, and future additions). Implement processes to increase energy efficiency and support conservation initiatives. Perform necessary maintenance work and recurring inspections with authorized specialized companies as needed. Engage with outside service companies as a point of contact. Support the ordering and specifications of necessary utility equipment and repair parts. Perform inspections of power facilities on company property. Implement and maintain OEM standards (e.g., 5S; standardized work), notifying manager of unresolved deviations. Execute preventative, corrective, and responsive work orders. Provide ownership and accountability of facility items including roof top HVAC systems, chillers, backup generator, and boiler systems. Your Profile High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and utilities maintenance experience. MUST HAVE 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with proven mechanical and electrical skills related to boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, overhead doors. 480V motors and 277V lighting.
