Responsibilities
Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines.
Review drawings, instructions, and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Set up machines effectively.
Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects.
Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
Contribute to team effort by completing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Postsecondary training, trade certificate for CNC Machinist, or equivalent experience.
Proficient in machine operation, machining, and milling.
Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and tools.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety with a commitment to quality.
Ability to set up machines efficiently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
