STS Technical Services
STS Technical Services is hiring Electro-Mechanical Technicians in Indianapolis, Indiana to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated, robotic, and electromechanical equipment. This role combines electrical and mechanical expertise to support high-efficiency manufacturing operations and ensure minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and basic calibration on facility equipment
Troubleshoot electronic instrumentation including thermocouples, tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducers
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support production demands
Operate shop and material handling equipment safely, including forklifts
Follow safety protocols and participate in inspections and risk assessments
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
Qualifications
2+ years of industrial experience in an electrical/mechanical environment (trade program completion or Associate's Degree preferred)
Basic understanding of PLCs, HMI systems, and motor drives
Proficient in using multimeters and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and use hands/arms regularly
Exposure to mechanical parts, temperature extremes, moderate noise, and occasional outdoor conditions
Rotating shift schedule; flexibility required
