POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS The Commercial Roofing Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on a variety of commercial roofing systems. This role involves inspecting roofs to identify damage, wear, and leaks, accurately documenting findings, and completing high‑quality repairs in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. The technician operates hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized job site. Success in this position requires strong technical knowledge of multiple roofing systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional workmanship and customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently or collaboratively to complete service calls on time and within scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of various commercial roofing systems.
Inspect roof surfaces for damage, wear, and leaks, identify necessary repairs, and document findings.
Safely remove and replace roofing materials in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment efficiently and safely.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete assigned service calls on time and within scope.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
Provide excellent customer service through professionalism, communication, and quality workmanship.
Complete required documentation such as service reports, material usage logs, and photo records.
Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience in commercial roofing service, repair, or installation is desired.
Strong knowledge of multiple commercial roofing systems and repair techniques.
Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve roof issues efficiently and accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality results.
Ability to work safely at heights and climb ladders up to 40 feet.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance throughout the workday.
Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Regular exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination required for use of tools and equipment.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
COMPENSATION $28–$32 per hour.
