Birmingham Search Group is a leading recruiting and staffing firm specializing in connecting top talent with exceptional companies. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time position on the 1st shift for one of our clients (DIRECT HIRE). Key Responsibilities
Perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG techniques Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specifications Set up and operate welding equipment and tools Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards Inspect and troubleshoot welding equipment and make necessary repairs Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and protocols Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with welding tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and in a team environment Good communication and problem-solving skills Must be able to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to work in various positions, including kneeling, bending, and reaching Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Must be able to wear protective gear, including welding helmet and gloves Benefits
