In search of MIG/TIG Welders who are looking to grow within a great organization in Brighton, MI.

As a Welder specializing in rework, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of exhaust systems by identifying and correcting surface defects. Your responsibilities will include examining parts, filling holes and gaps through Mig welding, performing sub-assembly and final assembly welding, and addressing any additional defects through Tig welding as per specifications.

Shifts Available Production Shift Times: All shifts must be able to train 3 full days on a morning shift schedule

1st Shift: Monday – Friday 7am-3pm

3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am

Pay ranges from $19.50-$20.10/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine the surface of parts to determine the extent of defects such as dings, dents, and buckles.

Utilize Mig welding techniques to fill holes and gaps in defected parts, adhering to precise specifications.

Conduct welding operations on sub-assemblies and final assemblies, ensuring high-quality welds for structural integrity.

Employ Tig welding techniques when necessary to smooth welded or defected areas, maintaining a high standard of finishing as specified.

Execute 100% rework on parts, requiring operator sign-off and meticulous documentation of all non-conformances.

Place reworked parts on in-process racks for leak testing to ensure the integrity of the welds and identify any potential issues.

Perform leak tests on component parts, promptly addressing and reworking any defects identified during the testing process.

Operate robotic weld cells, gauges, and leak testers proficiently to maintain a smooth workflow.

When necessary, manually assemble and weld complete exhaust systems from start to end using supplied component parts.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in Mig and Tig welding techniques.

Familiarity with robotic weld cell operation.

Attention to detail in defect identification and correction.

Ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints.

Adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

Previous experience with MIG &TIG welding (1+ years experience)

Must be able to pass drug test & background check

Must be able to pass a weld test

Must have weld helmet and steel toe shoes

Great attendance and attitude!

Will need their own welding gear and steel-toed shoes

Expected hours No less than 40 per week
