Job Summary This technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of systems that integrate electrical and mechanical components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The role collaborates with teams to provide customer‑centered service with high‑quality results from automated and mechanical equipment in the field.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain Decco equipment at customer sites, including electrical, fluid, and mechanical systems and PLC/Control Panels.

Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot, test, disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment such as PLC/Control Panels, sprayers, pumps, motors, foggers, and other equipment.

Provide support to service technicians, communicating the current functionality and working condition of equipment to all involved.

Attend regular training and promote proper use and care of technical equipment, as well as train service technicians on new equipment and best practices. Maintain accurate maintenance records.

Provide feedback to managers and others to keep the team informed of field activities, opportunities, and challenges; follow direction from superiors.

Perform job functions at Decco warehouses, offices, laboratories, customer packinghouses, storage facilities, and other locations. Work in varied weather conditions and industrial settings, often involving exposure to loud noises, dust, hazards, stairs, ladders, and platforms. Frequent travel in company‑provided vehicle may be required. Standing for long periods may also be necessary.

Support research, development, and continuous improvement activities of application equipment, digital platforms, and new technologies.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in electromechanical technology, electrical engineering, or related field, or 3+ years of related experience.

Demonstrated high technical aptitude and ability to learn.

Ability to read/understand electrical schematics and control panel designs.

Experience installing and troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems.

Proficiency in reading and working from CAD drawings and electrical diagrams.

Professional communication skills.

Valid driver’s license.

Strong written and verbal skills, knowledgeable with word processors, spreadsheets, and other software.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electromechanical technology, electrical engineering, or related field.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Experience with agriculture or industrial chemicals.

Experience with sensors, transmitters, pumps, motors, and automation controls.

PLC programming experience.

Location California: Central Valley (preferred), possibly Ventura County areas.
