Machine Operator Assistant

Position located in Baxter Springs, KS. Available shift: 2nd. Starting pay: $17.00/hour.
Responsibilities
Assist and function as back‑up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices.
Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production.
Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork.
Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities.
Assist with set‑up and/or change‑over activities within allotted time.
Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures.
Actively engage in safety programs.
Effectively communicate with team members across shifts.
Assist and train other team members as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high‑speed process.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Successful completion of pre‑employment background and drug screen.
Complies with training courses as determined by management.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
Commitment to an accident‑free and drug‑free workplace.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
