Foundry Machine Repair Mechanic – 2nd Shift
Join Caterpillar Inc. as a Foundry Machine Repair Mechanic in our Mapleton Seals Facility. This is a full‑time 2nd shift position (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday‑Friday) with a starting pay rate of

Job Overview As a Foundry Machine Repair Mechanic you will inspect equipment, plan repairs, and carry out fabrication work. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing hand and power tool work, assembling and aligning mechanical components, and operating machine tools such as drill presses, lathes, mills, grinders, and cutting machines.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and pipe fitting on equipment.
Set up, adjust, and modify equipment as required.
Lubricate or direct others to lubricate machinery.
Operate precision checking equipment, including laser tools and portable power tools.
Install, repair, and maintain pumps.
Use hydraulic, metal‑cutting, forming equipment, compressors, valves, turbines, steam delivery systems, and material handling equipment.
Qualifications
Pass a 2‑hour Ramsay skills exam.
3‑5 years of maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements
Work near high voltage, molten metal, heavy equipment, various gases, moving machinery, high areas, and confined spaces.
Preferred Experience
Strong mechanical background.
Machine shop experience.
Technical degree or diploma.
Ability to weld, cut, solder, and braze.
Additional Information
