Come be part of our Team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* With minor supervision provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems.* Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.* Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing robust preventative maintenance and refrigeration repairs, performing emergency mechanical or electrical repairs, andtroubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic plant equipment.* Understanding boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 Refrigeration schematics will be required for this role.* Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and pass the training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate on the Emergency Response Team.* Also responsible for minimizing downtime due to equipment and system failure.Requirements:* Must have a minimum of 6 months of industrial **refrigeration** experience OR 6 months HVAC experience documented in the applicants work experience. Candidates may also have verifiable schooling in a relevant **refrigeration** trade in lieu of experience.* *Computer Skills*: Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, to process daily work orders and to complete required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)* *Communication Skills:* The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills are necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level**Special Skills**:* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally* Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day* Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop* Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling* Frequent overhead work* Temperatures inside plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed* Basic math skills; percentages, fractions, and measurements* Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance including Pneumatics, PLC’s, Motor controls, and shop equipment operation desired**Rehire Criteria:****Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 365 days.****Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.**Our team members make the difference.
