Overview
We are seeking a skilled
MIG Welder
to join our team, specializing in
steel fabrication and welding . The ideal candidate will perform welding operations on steel components, ensuring strong, precise welds according to blueprints and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on steel parts, assemblies, and structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols for steel projects.
Ensure welds meet quality standards and project specifications.
Maintain welding equipment, including wire feed, shielding gas, and consumables.
Follow safety protocols for steel welding, including PPE use and proper ventilation.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project goals.
Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications
Proven experience welding steel using MIG techniques.
Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols specific to steel projects.
Knowledge of steel types, welding consumables, and proper techniques.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and maneuver steel components (up to [insert weight] lbs).
Standing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces as needed.
Exposure to sparks, heat, and fumes with proper PPE.
Preferred Skills
Experience with TIG or Stick welding on steel is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
