Sign Service Technician – San Antonio, TX
Federal Health Sign Company is hiring a Signing Service Technician for the San Antonio location. Applicants must live in or be willing to work in the Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio, Texas area. Relocation assistance may be available.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair channel letters, pole and pylon signs, and wall signs.
Accurately perform surveys and troubleshoot non‑working signs.
Review service orders, read blueprints, identify, and prepare necessary resources for sign maintenance.
Use art and design reference materials to establish site‑specific layout, develop maintenance strategies and procedures, and set guidelines for safe and timely maintenance.
Direct one or multiple crews.
Communicate effectively with customers and general contractors.
Requirements
State of Texas Journeyman Sign or Journeyman Electrical license.
CDL Driver License class “B” or greater with air‑brake certification, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
At least 5 years of experience as a Sign Service Technician.
Ability to work independently; serve as crew leader; ensure safe task execution on job site.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Working knowledge of various electrical and basic hand tools.
Ability to maintain all types of signs.
Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Flexibility to work long shifts in variable weather.
Capacity to walk, stand, stoop, bend for multiple hours; lift up to 50 lb; no fear of heights or tight spaces.
Job Type: Full‑time
Salary: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule
8‑hour day shift
Monday‑Friday
Overtime available
Weekend availability required
Year‑round work
