Teamwork is essential to keep production smooth and efficient. Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate plastic extrusion machines, maintaining productivity, safety, and attention to detail. Collaborate with co‑workers to ensure production procedures run smoothly, maximizing efficiency and profits. Keep up with production on machines (must be productive and effective). Measure, weigh materials or products and verify conformance to standards using templates, micrometers, or scales. Monitor machine operations, observe lights and gauges, detect malfunctions, clear jams, and remove defective or sub‑standard materials. Adjust machine components (speeds, pressures, temperatures, dimensions) to regulate flow of materials. Record and maintain production data (meter readings, quantities, types, dimensions). Review work orders and specifications to determine proper materials, ingredients, procedures, and settings. Turn controls to adjust machine functions such as air pressure, vacuum, and coolant flow. Clean dies, arbors, compression chambers, and molds using swabs, sponges, or air hoses. Synchronize speeds of machine sections when producing multi‑step products. Move materials, supplies, components, and finished products between storage and work areas using racks, hoists, and handtrucks. Select and install machine components (dies, molds, cutters) according to specifications, using hand tools and measuring devices. Couple air and gas lines to maintain material plasticity and regulate solidification. Pour, scoop, or dump ingredients, metal assemblies, or mixtures into machine sections before starting. Remove products from molds or machines, stack or store them for additional processing. Thread extruded strips through water tanks and hold‑down bars or attach strands to wires and draw them through tubes. Complete work tickets and arrange them with products. Disassemble equipment to repair or replace parts such as nozzles, punches, and filters. Remove molds, mold components, and feeder tubes from machinery after production. Ignite burners to preheat products or use torches to apply heat. Measure arbors and dies to verify sizes specified on work tickets. Qualifications & Experience

Machine operator experience, particularly with thermo‑plastic resins (preferred). Own tools for machine setup and maintenance. Basic machine upkeep, maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Experience working on an R&D team. Willingness to learn, improve, and work collaboratively. Application Instructions
