About the Role The CNC Machinist is responsible for the daily operation of the machines in their area and the quality of the machined products.
What You'll Do
Independently set up and operate machines for all jobs, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and production efficiency.
Troubleshoot production issues with support from Supervisors and Engineers to ensure smooth production flow.
Conduct in‑process inspections of machined products, documenting results to ensure products meet specifications.
Assist other Machinists in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
Maintain a safe working environment, proactively identifying and addressing hazards.
Education and Experience
Two‑year certificate in machine trades preferred.
2+ years of experience in CNC machining – milling.
Skills and Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Read and interpret blueprints, perform basic calculations, use hand‑held measuring tools.
Proficient knowledge of GD&T.
Subject matter expert in assigned machining area, collaborating with Senior Machinists and Supervisors.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Advanced knowledge of reading G‑code and M‑code.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Ability to pass annual vision screening.
