Estate Planning & Elder Law Paralegal.
ProspectBlue has partnered with a boutique law practice in Richmond, VA and is seeking an experienced estate planning & elder law paralegal. The ideal candidate is highly skilled and detail-oriented with experience in estate planning, trusts, and probate. Exposure to elder law and Medicaid planning is a plus. This is an in-office position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related instruments. Assist with the preparation of Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts (MAPTs), deeds, and advanced estate documents (training provided as needed). Manage client communications, guide clients through the estate planning process, and coordinate meetings and signings. Support probate administration, including preparation of inventories, accountings, and related filings. Maintain accurate and organized client files (digital and physical) and ensure compliance with deadlines. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to improve systems, templates, and workflows. Contribute to the firm’s elder law and Medicaid planning services. Qualifications
Five years of paralegal experience in estate planning, trusts, and probate (required). Experience with elder law, Medicaid planning, or probate is highly desirable. Strong drafting, writing, and proofreading skills. Proficiency with legal technology, including Clio, document automation, and CRM tools (training provided). Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
