Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position for a Document Drafting Paralegal specializing in Trusts & Estates. The Document Drafting Paralegal plays a critical role in the preparation and execution of estate planning documents, working closely with attorneys to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the drafting process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a structured legal environment that demands precision, confidentiality, and consistency. This role is essential to delivering high-caliber legal work and maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Draft estate planning documents, including but not limited to revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care proxies, deeds, and ancillary estate planning documents.

Review drafts for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with attorney instructions and client goals.

Revise documents based on attorney feedback and client-specific changes.

Organize, manage, and maintain client files and drafted documents within the firm’s document management and case management systems.

Coordinate with attorneys to ensure documents are prepared in advance of client signing appointments.

Prepare execution packets and assist with document signing procedures and formalities.

Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with firm policies and legal standards.

Identify drafting inefficiencies or recurring issues and suggest process improvements where appropriate.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a Trusts & Estates or Estate Planning law firm

Strong document drafting and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Familiarity with estate planning terminology, structures, and document formats.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.

Professional, dependable, and able to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or similar platforms) is a plus.

$60,000–$65,000 per year
