Paralegal – Soqquadro Italiano
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to support the legal affairs of Soqquadro Italiano and its subsidiaries. The position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer and involves a broad range of corporate, governance, regulatory, and litigation support activities.
Responsibilities
Independently review and validate trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, and divorce documents for completeness and compliance with company requirements, escalating legal interpretation issues as needed.
Assist with the review and drafting of contracts and other legal documentation.
Manage third‑party vendor files and compliance using Nvendor software, exercising autonomy to resolve vendor‑related compliance issues.
Maintain accurate records of correspondence, legal documents, and contract files.
Prepare legal documents and support policy drafting and implementation.
Serve as a resource for internal staff across departments and coordinate with outside counsel on specific matters.
Stay current on legislative and regulatory changes impacting the company and its subsidiaries, providing regular summaries or reports upon request.
Support compliance with NCUA regulations and applicable federal laws (e.g., GLBA, privacy, vendor due diligence expectations).
Assist with examination support, including document collection and regulatory requests.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Understanding and compliance with all legal and ethical principles.

Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and their practical applications in legal research, document review, or workflow automation is preferred.
Education & Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in an in‑house corporate law department and/or law firm, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
North Carolina paralegal certification preferred.
Experience in real estate and estate planning preferred.
Experience with contract management platforms (preferred, not required; training provided).
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
