The Deputy Marshal, Court Bailiff supports the San Marcos Municipal Court by ensuring the safety and security of court operations, enforcing court orders, and executing warrant enforcement activities. This position is responsible for courtroom security, serving legal documents, and locating and apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. The Deputy Marshal plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of court proceedings and upholding public trust in the judicial process. Employees may be asked to take on other responsibilities as needed to support the team and department. Courtroom and Facility Security

Provide security for all open court proceedings and daily court operations. Monitor and control access to the court facility, including screening individuals entering the building. Respond to security incidents and emergencies in accordance with department protocols. Warrant and Document Enforcement

Serve summonses, subpoenas, and other legal documents issued by the Municipal Court. Conduct research and fieldwork to locate individuals with outstanding warrants. Initiate arrests when necessary and ensure proper documentation and procedures are followed. Maintain accurate records of warrant enforcement activities and case outcomes.
