seeking a
Personal Injury Legal Assistant
to support pre-suit and litigation matters from
intake through resolution .
This role is best suited for a
detail-oriented, reliable legal assistant
who can manage deadlines, work independently, and take ownership of assigned cases while delivering high-quality legal support.
This role involves
working closely with and directly supporting the lead attorney/owner , as well as limited, appropriate
participation in firm representation, social media visibility, and community outreach initiatives . The ideal candidate will demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset and a willingness to support the firm’s long-term vision and entrepreneurial development.
This position offers a
hybrid remote schedule , with the ability to work from home 3–4 days per week and in-office work or training 1–2 days per week, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation
Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and court personnel
Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and settlement demands
Request, track, organize, and summarize medical records and medical billing
Track medical treatment, damages, liens, and case-related expenses
Assist with discovery responses, deposition preparation, and trial preparation
Calendar deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules, statutes, and internal procedures
Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files using the firm’s case management system
Assist with settlement disbursements, closing files, and post-settlement documentation
Support consistent client communication to ensure clients remain informed throughout their case
Firm Representation & Community Involvement (Limited Scope)
Serve as a professional, polished, and approachable representative of the firm in client‑facing interactions
Participate, on a limited basis, in the firm’s social media or community outreach efforts (e.g., appearing in photos or short videos, assisting with client‑education or community events)
Support coordination of client reviews or testimonials when appropriate
Qualifications
Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a hybrid or remote setting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Professional demeanor and client‑focused approach
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal case‑management software preferred
Preferred (Not Required)
1–2+ years of legal assistant or paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury
Working knowledge of Florida personal injury procedures and terminology
Experience with medical records, liens, and settlement statements
Florida litigation and discovery experience
Paralegal certificate or associate’s degree
