Immigration Paralegal
Mona Shah & Partners is looking for a paralegal with an organized mind and multitasking ability. The candidate must be reliable, attentive to details, and work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience in immigration law, including consular processing, adjustments, business immigration, and familiarity with EB‑5 filings is highly preferred. Bookkeeping experience is a plus.
What to Expect
Assist with Immigration EB‑5 filings.
Draft RFCs, RFEs, NOIDs, and MTRs for USCIS.
Handle Adjustment of Status/NVC cases.
Communicate with USCIS, NVC, Consulate for client issues.
Sourcing funds (forensic accounting).
Client interaction with high net‑worth individuals and developers.
Occasional handling of EOIR, E‑2, L‑1, O‑1, H‑1B, and other business non‑immigrant cases.
Enjoy a dynamic office environment.
Job Duties
Assist with client intakes to obtain relevant case information.
Conduct legal research for cases.
Coordinate with clients to gather documents, complete forms, review, and provide case status updates.
Draft correspondence to clients, courts, USCIS, NVC, attorneys, etc.
Prepare cases for submission (printing, assembling documents, scanning, saving, and organizing mail delivery).
Handle administrative tasks such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining reference files.
Maintain the attorney’s schedule, database, and calendar.
Review files regularly, consult with the attorney, and prepare regular status reports.
Demonstrate strong writing skills.
Bookkeeping experience is a plus.
Compensation Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year.
