Job Responsibilities
Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings
Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
Drafts discovery demands and responses, including, but not limited to, Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection and Requests for Admissions
Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders, as well as processing deposition transcripts
Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, timelines, exhibits, etc
Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping
Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters
Performs legal research
Processes HIPAA authorizations and follows up with providers for medical records
Reviews, summarizes and analyzes medical records to assist with defense of action
Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations

Qualifications
Litigation experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Industry recognized certification from organizations such as ABA, NALA or AACP
Experience in using legal database software (NetDocs and West Law preferred)
Familiarity with legal terminology and principles
The ability to analyze legal documents, as well as perform legal research, for accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Base Salary Range:
$60,000 - $95,000
Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
