We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for County Materials at our Roberts, WI, location.
Job Duties:
Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products
Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production
Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry
Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product.
Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
Other tasks as needed
Work Environment:
Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
Work in a noisy environment
Physical Requirements:
Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds frequently
Carrying/Lifting > 40 Pounds occasionally
Standing / Walking / Climbing
Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending
Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder
Experience & Qualifications:
Reliability
Ability to be a team player and to work independently as needed.
Coachable and open to learning new skills
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Solid math skills with the ability to read a tape measure or willingness to do so.
Ability to/open to learn how to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
Proficient in computer skills with Microsoft Office
Must have the ability to train and obtain technical certifications as directed and supported by the company.
Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
Understanding of, or willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
Concrete plant and/or quality control experience is highly desired.
