Job Summary The Production Supervisor will lead manufacturing teams in a 2nd‑shift environment, ensuring safe, productive, and profitable operations. Key responsibilities include planning production schedules, enforcing quality and safety standards, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead 1–2 small or similar production areas or processes.

Supervise team members in both union and non‑union settings, providing daily support and troubleshooting guidance.

Deliver performance feedback, conduct appraisals, and foster employee development.

Enforce quality, safety and 5S standards; recommend process improvements.

Support maintenance and continuous‑improvement projects to meet production schedules.

Conduct root‑cause analyses, resolve process issues, and implement corrective actions.

Report product and process nonconformance and lead corrective actions.

Maintain 5S principles and champion Kaizen events.

Create value‑stream maps and standard work documents.

Maintain accurate company records per policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Strong willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in welding, CNC machining, or paint operations.

Ability to plan and organize projects.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Core Competencies

Internal and external communication with peers and stakeholders.

Decision‑making and problem‑solving within standard policy limits.

Supervisory skills: hiring, performance evaluation, scheduling.

Working Conditions

Physical demands: Frequent standing, walking, light lifting (up to 25 lbs), and occasional driving.

Non‑physical demands: Analysis, communication, math calculation, reading, and sustained mental activity.

Environmental demands: Work alone, frequent task changes, and occasional public contact.

Work schedule: Routine shift hours with occasional overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.

Stress: Occasional deadlines and workload pressures.

Pay Range $72,200.00 – $116,200.00 (U.S. locations). Pay is based on role scope, experience, education, and equity considerations.
