Industrial Maintenance Technician
in Coconut Beach, Florida
Position Overview The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in manufacturing plants. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably to minimize production downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Inspections and Diagnostics:
Regularly inspect machinery for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction and run diagnostic tests to determine required repairs.
Equipment Installation:
Install and dismantle industrial machinery according to layout plans and blueprints.
Component Replacement:
Remove and replace defective parts such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and electrical units; fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment as needed.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts replaced.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate and collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and provide updates on repairs.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency through root cause analysis.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred

2 on 2nd shift- 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm
2 on 3rd shift- 10:00 pm- 6:30 am
Experience and Skills
Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician
Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skills
Knowledge of PLC systems, control systems, and industrial automation
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
Proficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environmentAbility to lift heavy objects and work in various temperature conditions
Knowledge of food safety standards preferred
