Maintenance Technician – Commercial Laundry Facility

Schedule - 3:30pm-2am Wednesday to Saturday
Starting pay- $28/hr
Position Summary Seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician
to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment in our high-volume commercial laundry facility. This position is responsible for ensuring all production machinery, boilers, electrical systems, and facility equipment operate safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, ironers, folders, conveyors, and steam systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production machinery.
Repair and replace motors, pumps, belts, bearings, solenoids, valves, gearboxes, and drive systems.
Perform electrical work, including low-voltage troubleshooting, sensors, relays, switches, contactors, and control wiring.
Maintain HVAC units, exhaust systems, and air circulation equipment.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler systems and water equipment according to safety standards.
Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and document all work performed.
Conduct machine adjustments, calibrations, and alignments to ensure optimal performance.
Follow OSHA, LOTO, PPE, and all internal safety guidelines.
Assist with installations, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment.
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and work with production staff to resolve issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and parts are properly stored.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Maintenance Technician or Industrial Mechanic (commercial laundry or manufacturing preferred).
Knowledge of motors (AC/DC), hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical systems.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including low-voltage and basic high-voltage understanding.
Ability to repair and align belts, pulleys, bearings, and drive components.
Familiar with HVAC basics, boilers, and steam systems.
Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in hot or industrial environments.
Must follow all safety guidelines and be able to perform LOTO procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a commercial laundry, industrial facility, or similar setting.
Boiler license (or willingness to obtain).
HVAC certification or mechanical coursework.
Welding or fabrication experience.
PLC troubleshooting (basic I/O understanding).
