Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Operate dredge equipment safely and efficiently to extract sand and gravel.* Monitor dredging operations and adjust controls to maintain optimal production.* Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on dredge machinery.* Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational needs.**What Are We Looking For*** Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe manner.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.* Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs.* Willingness to work night shifts and adapt to changing priorities.**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.* Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**Physical Demands*** Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.* Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of heavier materials with assistance.* Manual dexterity to operate controls and perform maintenance tasks.* Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.* Visual and auditory acuity to monitor equipment and surroundings safely.**What We Offer*** Starting Pay $28.64 per hour DOE* 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* Highly competitive benefits programs, including:
