Job Overview Scarborough Associates Inc is hiring skilled Journeyman Electricians to join our growing Field Operations team. In this role, you'll install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. From lighting and power distribution to underground systems and fire alarms, you’ll work hands‑on under minimal supervision to deliver high‑quality electrical solutions that meet industry standards and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code.

Execute work from blueprints, one‑line diagrams, field sketches, and schematics.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues with circuits, systems, and equipment.

Perform metering and voltage testing (up to 600V).

Identify tools and materials required for each assignment.

Provide direction and mentorship to assigned helpers or apprentices.

Communicate clearly with crew members, supervisors, and other trades.

Accurately complete paperwork and documentation for projects.

Enforce and follow customer‑specific safety policies and procedures.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and job‑related equipment safely and effectively.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the completion of each project.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience as an apprentice electrician or equivalent combination of training and work experience.

High School diploma or GED required.

Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, including basic calculations.

Skilled in blueprint and schematic interpretation, and in troubleshooting.

Must provide your own personal hand tools.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Journeyman License preferred but not required.

OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E training preferred but not required.

Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
