You’ll work under the supervision of experienced journeymen and foremen on commercial and industrial job sites, learning the trade while actively assisting with electrical installations, repairs, and site preparation. Key Responsibilities
Assist journeymen with the installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems and components.
Maintain an organized work area and ensure proper care and use of tools.
Learn to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and instructions under supervision.
Follow safe work practices at all times and comply with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
Measure, cut, bend, and install wire and conduit using hand tools and bending machines.
Dig trenches manually or with machinery as required for conduit runs.
Operate power tools, hydraulic benders, and company vehicles (manual or automatic transmission).
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive team attitude.
Proactively seek learning opportunities and assist in achieving team goals.
Perform overhead and elevated work as needed, including climbing ladders and using lifts.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years combined electrical training and work experience, with at least 1 year in commercial or industrial environments preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must have basic personal hand tools appropriate for the trade.
Familiarity with National Electric Code and safe work practices is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, good communication, and willingness to learn.
