About the role The Electronics Technician III is responsible coordinating and completing the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of control systems for automated equipment in the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves electrical equipment issues
Installs electrical components including but not limited to: wiring, pneumatics, component wiring, and programming
Specifies components for use in control systems
Provides input into decisions regarding problem diagnosis and resolution
Utilizes various measuring devices and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
Programs equipment control systems to improve operations
Completes assigned projects with minimal guidance
Leads a team of direct reports in the completion of all control system related tasks
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to read, understand, and redline electrical drawings
Ability to use multimeters, soldering irons, drills, wire strippers, and crimping tools
Complete tasks within common electrical safety practices and ensure others do as well
Understand and use of NEC codes for completion of work
Working knowledge of AC and DC systems
Advanced PLC programming capabilities
Extensive understanding knowledge of industrial control systems
Computer operating system knowledge is strongly preferred
Ability to utilize PC based software to diagnose components on automated machinery
Team oriented and able to work effectively with fellow technicians as well as production employees
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level
Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimal direction
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
Education & Experience
5+ years of hands‑on industrial control system experience required
Associate's degree in a related technical field required
Travel
This position may require up to 5% Travel.
