Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural steel, piping, and fabricated components.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
Fabricate, assemble, and install metal components per project specifications.
Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with project standards.
Assist with fitting, cutting, grinding, and finishing metal materials as needed.
Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and other trades to meet project timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of welding experience in commercial or industrial construction preferred.
Valid welding certification required (AWS or equivalent preferred).
Experience with structural steel, piping, or industrial fabrication strongly preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
