Offshore Welder – Structural & Pipe Fabrication
Join our dynamic team as an Offshore Welder and play a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity and safety of cutting‑edge drillships. If you are a skilled welder with offshore experience and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication on structural steel, piping, handrails, brackets, sea chests, foundations, and miscellaneous components on the drillship.
Conduct repairs and modifications in compliance with class, flag, and company standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols to ensure precise execution.
Utilize SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes on carbon steel and stainless materials, including out‑of‑position welds.
Carry out fit‑up, tacking, grinding, and surface preparation for welding tasks.
Assist with general rig maintenance, including structural inspections, thickness measurements, and housekeeping.
Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and over the side, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, mechanics, and engineers regarding job scope, progress, and issues.
Requirements
3–5+ years of welding experience in offshore, shipyard, or heavy marine/industrial environments (experience on drillships, jack‑ups, platforms, or ships preferred).
Proficiency with SMAW and FCAW welding; GTAW experience is a plus.
Ability to pass weld tests (6G or 3G/4G, depending on project).
Experience welding structural steel and piping in various positions.
Valid offshore survival certification (BOSIET / FOET / HUET or equivalent).
Valid TWIC (if applicable) or ability to obtain.
Valid offshore medical and ability to pass drug and background screenings.
Passport valid for international travel (if required).
