Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technicians – Roanoke Rapids, NC
Pay Range:
$31.19 – $41.56 per hour (based on education and experience)
What You’ll Do
Work alongside experienced mentors to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Support continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for unplanned shutdowns.
Maintain and troubleshoot advanced control systems (DCS, PLC).
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics for process control systems.
Complete work orders, documentation, and change control procedures accurately.
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines.
Mechanical responsibilities may include:
Valve and gasket replacement, pump repair/repacking, welding (basic), forklift operation, pipe and tubing installation, cylinder and motor repair, and maintenance of mechanical drive systems.
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum age: 18
High School Diploma or GED required
Two-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training
3+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience
Multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical and electrical)
Knowledge of mechanical drives, pumps, seals, hydraulics, and lubrication
Welding experience (stick, MIG, TIG)
Machine shop skills (lathes, boring, balancing, CNC)
Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)

5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
