Base Pay Range $22.00/hr – $26.00/hr
Role Overview The mechanical installation technician work activities may include the coordination and installation, de‑installation, relocation, and/or service upgrades of high‑value complex equipment in hospitals, universities, and federal buildings. Various equipment from each modality may include but not be limited to AXA, AXD, CT, MR, NM, and other related technical paraphernalia associated with these modalities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Up to 100% travel throughout the country
Maintain integrity of confidential information
Maintain customer relationships, comply with PROB SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and policy, customer requirements, and statutory and regulatory guidelines
Responsible for following all safety OSHA guidelines
Maintain a safe work environment through safe work practices
Deliver a safe and timely installation to the customer
Assist the Team Leader with maintaining documentation in accordance with the PROBO SOP and customer requirements
Represent PROBO and the customer in a professional and courteous manner
Assist Team Leader with quality and compliance with the PROBO SOP, customer requirements, and ISO 9001:2008, ensure each process is followed by each team member
Assist Team Leader with coordinating suppliers and help direct on‑site deliveries of equipment
QUALIFICATIONS Required education and experience:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read metric and standard measurement and use leveling methods to complete related work activities.
Provide and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain clean driving record.
Preferred education and experience:
High School Diploma/GED, Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year university or technical school; or a minimum of 2 years of related experience to work activities or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel requirements: up to 100% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Monitor the typical field safety and environmental conditions within the designated facility and report deficient conditions if needed in accordance with the PROBO Safety Manual.
Use both hands and fingers with dexterity.
Great hand/eye coordination and ability to work on a ladder.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs of cables or equipment.
